A senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) stressed persistent endeavor to make Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era take root among the people, and called for firm will and united efforts for national rejuvenation.

Huang Kunming, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, joined a panel discussion on March 23 during the first course for publicity personnel to study Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the guiding principles of the 19th CPC National Congress.

Huang highlighted the significance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as the ideological banner of CPC members in the new era, the basic principle of the country's political and social life, the fundamental guidance to making historic achievements, the powerful weapon for promoting social and individual changes, the spiritual basis for the stability of the Party and the nation, and the source of strength for realizing the "Two Centenary Goals" and the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation. He said that upholding Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as a guidance will bring more vitality to the CPC, and make socialism with Chinese characteristics more persuasive.

Huang noted that the publicity personnel should focus on educating Party members and the people with scientific theories, and take informed actions.

Huang also called on them to get more involved in the daily lives of the public and tell Chinese stories well by innovating forms and channels of publicity, in order to turn scientific theories into behaviors and social practices.
