Wang Huning attends International Women's Day meeting

Wang Huning attended a meeting to mark International Women's Day and honor the nation's female role models in Beijing on March 8.

Wang Huning, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, attended a meeting hosted by the All-China Women's Federation to mark International Women's Day and honor the nation's female role models in Beijing on March 8.

Vice Premier Liu Yandong and the federation's president Shen Yueyue were also present at the meeting.

The meeting called on women nationwide to follow the leadership of the CPC, contribute to the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects, and practice socialist core values.

More than 300 individuals and 200 groups received awards at the meeting.
