​China's retail sales of consumer goods went up 3.3 percent year on year in the first quarter of this year, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said Monday.

China's retail sales of consumer goods went up 3.3 percent year on year in the first quarter of this year, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said Monday.

The country's retail sales of consumer goods totaled around 10.87 trillion yuan (about 1.7 trillion U.S. dollars) in the period, data from the NBS showed.

In March, retail sales decreased by 3.5 percent year on year.
