Jiang Jianguo (蒋建国) is the minister of the State Council Information Office and the vice minister of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC). He is a member of the 18th Central Committee of the CPC.
Born in December 1956, Jiang is a native of Hanshou County, Hunan Province. He joined the Communist Party of China in January 1975, and began work in September 1977. He graduated from Hunan University and has a master's degree in engineering.
Jiang worked in Hunan Province from 1977 to 2008. From 2008 to 2013, he served as the deputy director of the General Administration of Press and Publication and the deputy secretary of the General Administration of Press and Publication Leading Party Group.
From 2013 to late 2014, he was the deputy director of the State General Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television.
He has been the minister of the State Council Information Office and the vice minister of the Publicity Department of the CPC since December 2014.
Cui Yuying (崔玉英) is the vice minister of the State Council Information Office and the vice minister of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
Born in Changle County of Shandong Province in May 1958, Cui is of Tibetan ethnicity. She began work in August 1975 and joined the Communist Party of China in February 1980. She has a master’s degree from the Party School of the Central Committee of the CPC.
She worked in Tibet from 1975 to 2011. From 2011 to 2014, she served as the deputy director of the Office for Overseas Publicity of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and the vice minister of the State Council Information Office.
She has been the vice minister of the State Council Information Office and the vice minister of the Publicity Department of the CPC since January 2015.
Guo Weimin (郭卫民) is the vice minister of the State Council Information Office (SCIO).
Guo was born in Shanghai in October 1958. He began work in 1976 and joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in October 1980. He graduated from Renmin University with a master’s degree.
He worked in Shanghai and served the People’s Liberation Army before working at the National People's Congress Foreign Affairs Committee from 1989 to 1996. He began work at the State Council Information Office since 1996, with a three-year stint in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region from 1988 to 2001. He was the spokesperson of the State Council Information Office from 2012 to 2015.
He has been the vice minister of the State Council Information Office since June 2015.
