Jiang Jianguo lectures on spirit of 19th CPC congress at Nanjing University

On Nov. 21, a seminar on the study and implementation of the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) was convened at Nanjing University. Jiang Jianguo, deputy head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and minister of the State Council Information Office of China, addressed the seminar. Around 600 people of Nanjing University attended the seminar.

During the seminar, Jiang elaborated on the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress in three parts: overall understanding, major spirit, and study and implementation. He pointed out that the report of the 19th CPC National Congress answered a series of significant theoretical and practical questions in upholding and developing socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era. He said the report also sketched out a grand blueprint in securing a decisive victory in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects and striving for the great success of socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, thus charting the course for continued progress in the cause of the Party and the country.

Jiang also noted that the 19th CPC National Congress had put forward Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and identified it as a guiding principle of the CPC. It was one of the highlights of and historic contributions to the 19th CPC National Congress.

After the speech, Jiang interacted with the faculty and students and held discussions regarding cultural confidence and building a community of a shared future for mankind, receiving warm response from the audience.
