Prayut said he appreciated receiving the gifts. The prime minister had lauded many times China's achievement in poverty alleviation and said he hoped to learn more from China's development experience and exchange experience in governance. Prayut had also recommended "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China" to his cabinet members.

Thai Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngam also complimented the book and said that China's reform and opening up as well as its development strategy is inspiring to Thailand.

Wirun Phichaiwongphakdee, director of the Thailand-China Research Center of the Belt and Road Initiative, participated in the translation of the Thai version of the book's first volume. He said China's work in targeted poverty alleviation and rural vitalization has been inspiring for Thailand to map out its own plans.

So far, the four volumes of the book have been published in 37 languages and distributed in over 170 countries and regions. These books give overseas readers a direct view on China's development, keep them abreast of the latest development of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and help them to better understand China's development path and approach to governance.
