A senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) called for efforts to publicize the guiding principles of the sixth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee in an extensive manner.
Huang Kunming made the remarks during an inspection tour to Hubei province from Nov. 26 to 28. He is a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee.
During the inspection tour, he spoke with experts and scholars, teachers and students of universities and colleges, community-level lecturers, local officials, and other people in Wuhan and Xiangyang cities about understanding the guiding principles of the CPC plenum.
He said that the plenum adopted a resolution on the major achievements and historical experience of the CPC over the past century, which is of far-reaching significance. He called for relevant parties to enhance education on the history of the CPC among officials and the public, with a focus on studying and implementing the guiding principles of the plenum.
He also called for reaffirming public confidence in the culture of socialism with Chinese characteristics and pursuing innovative and high-quality cultural development, better cultural heritage protection, and better integration of culture and tourism.
