Senior Communist Party of China (CPC) official Wang Huning on Saturday called for consolidation of the achievements in the first stage of the ongoing Party education campaign and elaborate planning for the next stage to ensure concrete results.

Wang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and a member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks at a meeting concluding the first stage of the education campaign themed "staying true to our founding mission" and making arrangements for the second phase.
Underscoring the experiences gained for exercising full and strict governance over the Party and strengthening Party building in the first stage, Wang asked for efforts to solve practical problems and curb the practice of formalities for formalities' sake or bureaucratism in the following campaign.
He said the public should feel tangible changes and improvements brought about by the campaign.
The campaign, to be carried out nationwide among all Party members, was launched on May 31. The CPC's original aspiration and mission is to seek happiness for the Chinese people and rejuvenation for the Chinese nation.
