Senior Communist Party of China (CPC) official Wang Huning on Thursday met with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, who is in Beijing to attend the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation.

Wang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and a member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, said that good results have been achieved in recent years in practical cooperation between the two countries on the basis of mutual respect, equality and mutual benefits.

China is willing to work with Serbia to advance bilateral relations to a new level, Wang said.

Vucic said that Serbia is willing to learn from China's experience in development.

Serbia will stay deeply engaged in the Belt and Road, and consolidate and develop the partnership between the two countries, he said.
