It is fundamental to enhance the public awareness of cybersecurity and train talents in the field, Huang said, calling for expanding publicity, education and training concerning cybersecurity.
"Protection of key information infrastructure is the top priority and the Cybersecurity Law should be implemented earnestly," said Huang.
Huang noted strengthened data security and protection of personal information as a key task. He also called for more innovation and reforms to meet cybersecurity challenges.
China officially initiated the first China Cybersecurity Week in 2014. The theme of the publicity week on internet security this year centers on "cybersecurity for the people and cybersecurity through the people."
