Huang Kunming: Better meeting expectations in people's cultural lives

Huang Kunming, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, visited Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region from Aug. 29 to Sept. 2.

Huang Kunming, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, visited Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region from Aug. 29 to Sept. 2. During his visit, Huang called for the adherence to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and the implementation of the spirit of the national conference on publicity and ideological work.

Huang urged publicity workers to keep their missions and tasks in mind, to be upright and persist in innovation, to work hard to improve their work quality, and to lay a solid foundation at the grassroots level. Huang also stressed the importance of placing the tasks of unifying people's thinking and gathering their strength at the center of publicity and ideological work, in order to better meet people's expectations in their cultural lives.

Huang highlighted the importance of publicity and ideological work at the grassroots level. He put forward certain working methods, which include building more county-level media convergence centers, cultivating more grassroots artists, as well as creating more cultural programs.

During his time in Inner Mongolia, Huang also visited a national-level poverty-stricken county located in Xing'an League. He called for the resolute implementation of the CPC Central Committee's major decisions and arrangements regarding China's poverty alleviation, and encouraged poverty-stricken areas to develop specialty industries and promote cultural and ethical progress in rural areas.
