Wang Huning meets Gabonese president

Senior Communist Party of China (CPC) official Wang Huning on Saturday met with Gabonese President Ali Bongo Ondimba ahead of the 2018 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation.

Wang, a Standing Committee member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and a member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, said China will work with Gabon to seize the Belt and Road opportunities, expand cooperation of mutual benefits, and elevate China-Gabon comprehensive cooperative partnership to a new level.

Bongo said Gabon is willing to strengthen political mutual trust, step up pragmatic cooperation, and translate the Gabon-China friendship into fruitful cooperation to benefit the people.
