Senior Communist Party of China (CPC) official Wang Huning met with Liberian President George Weah on Saturday ahead of the 2018 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation.

Wang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and a member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, called on the two countries to jointly implement the consensus reached between the two presidents and lift bilateral ties and China-Africa cooperation to a new level.

Weah said Liberia will adhere to the one-China policy, actively participate in the Belt and Road Initiative, strengthen mutual exchanges and cooperation, and consolidate bilateral friendship.
