A senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on Wednesday called for more media cooperation with African countries.

Huang Kunming, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks during a meeting with delegates attending the 4th forum on China-Africa media cooperation in Beijing.

China's concept of policy towards Africa featuring sincerity, real results, affinity and good faith guided the development direction of China-Africa relations, Huang said.

"China will host the summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in Beijing," Huang said, noting that the summit would provide important opportunities for China-Africa media cooperation.

Huang called on the media between China and African countries to enhance exchanges and cooperation to promote their common development and contribute more to building a more closer China-Africa community of shared future.

The African delegates spoke highly of media cooperation between Africa and China, and said they were willing to strengthen Africa-China media cooperation to promote friendly ties.
