A senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on Tuesday called for enhanced exchanges and cooperation with Laos and the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP).

Huang Kunming, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks during his meeting with Sounthone Xayachack, head of the LPRP Central Committee's commission for external relations.
Huang said General Secretary Xi Jinping of the CPC Central Committee and General Secretary Bounnhang Vorachit of the LPRP Central Committee attach great importance to bilateral ties, having provided the guidance and mapped out blueprint for the development of ties.
China is ready to make joint efforts with Laos to cement cooperation between the two parties and countries, and to boost stronger China-Laos comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.
Sounthone Xayachack said the LPRP expects to learn from the CPC's governance experience and boost bilateral cooperation in all areas.
