The cultural event series "Experience China" kicked off in Budapest, capital of Hungary, on June 23, attended by more than 600 local audience members.
The event opened with a dance drama titled "Magical Silk Road," performed by the Chinese Gansu Dance Theater and showcasing ancient Chinese culture and exchanges between China and foreign countries along the historic Silk Road. The event also featured a photo series and two documentary films on the nature and people of western China.

Lu Guangjin, director general of the Department of Human Rights of the State Council Information Office of China, said he hoped the event would open a window for Hungarian people to experience the diversity and unique charm of Chinese culture, especially that of western China.
The event was hosted by the State Council Information Office of China and the Chinese Embassy in Hungary.
