The digital economy in east China's Jiangxi Province registered 19.5 percent year-on-year growth in 2021, reaching nearly 1.04 trillion yuan (around 154 billion U.S. dollars), local authorities told a press conference on Monday.

Jiangxi's digital economy contributed 35 percent to the province's gross domestic product in 2021, according to a white paper on Jiangxi's digital economy development, which was released at the press conference.
The conference also saw the release of the province's first batch of digital technology application scenarios in an "opportunity list" and digital technology "product list."
The opportunity list includes 200 application scenarios with a total investment of 8.2 billion yuan, while the product list includes 200 digital products, technologies and solutions, mainly in the manufacturing, new smart cities and government services sectors.
China is accelerating its digital economy development. The scale of China's digital economy exceeded 45 trillion yuan in 2021, contributing 39.8 percent to its gross domestic product in the year.
