The Luohu district government portal website, szlh.gov.cn, was ranked first among 463 county-level government portal websites in the 19th Government Website Performance Evaluation. The event took place on Dec. 15 and was organized by the China Software Testing Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
This is the fifth time in a row that Luohu has topped the annual appraisal rankings. It is also the only county-level government that has won five successive times at the event, the most authoritative government website evaluation in the country, since its launch in 2002.
The main indicators in the website performance appraisal are information disclosure, response, service, interaction, management and maintenance, and function and innovation.
The results of the evaluation this year indicate that Luohu government’s website performs well in terms of information disclosure, management and maintenance, and service and response.
Over the past five years, Luohu has attached considerable significance to improving the performance of its website as well as other mobile internet platforms. Through these portals, it looks to serve the people and prompt the government departments to take advantage of advanced information technology in its institutional reform.
Over the past five years, the Luohu government website has received a total of 19,972 messages from the people, all of which received replies.
The district has also taken the initiative to encourage its government departments to disclose information and improve the efficiency of their operations. The people are now accustomed to using the government’s website and other mobile internet platforms to handle affairs related to the government.
