China's newly recovered coronavirus patients outnumber new infections for 10th day

The daily number of newly cured and discharged novel coronavirus patients on the Chinese mainland has surpassed that of new infections for the 10th consecutive day, the National Health Commission said Friday.

The daily number of newly cured and discharged novel coronavirus patients on the Chinese mainland has surpassed that of new infections for the 10th consecutive day, the National Health Commission said Friday.

Thursday saw 3,622 people on the mainland walk out of hospital after recovery, much higher than the number of new confirmed infections at 327.

A total of 36,117 patients infected with the novel coronavirus had been discharged from hospital by the end of Thursday, according to the commission.

Thursday marked the ninth consecutive day that daily number of new infections on the mainland remained under 1,000.

The newly recovered coronavirus patients in both Hubei Province and its capital city of Wuhan also outnumbered new infections Thursday, according to the figures.
