Chongqing, Chengdu record 20,000 China-Europe freight train trips

​Two cargo trains loaded with goods departed on Thursday from southwest China's Chongqing Municipality and Chengdu, capital of the neighboring Sichuan Province, for Germany's Duisburg and Poland's Lodz.

As two freight trains left the Chengdu International Railway Port in Chengdu and the Tuanjiecun station in Chongqing for Lodz in Poland and Duisburg of Germany respectively, the total number of China-Europe freight train trips from southwest China's Chengdu and Chongqing has topped 20,000 on June 30. Major exports include commodities such as mechanical and electrical products, automobiles and components, food and beverage, clothing, etc. The China-Europe freight train service has played an important role in advancing high-quality Belt and Road cooperation.
