Freight trains help China's Shandong trade more with B&R countries

China-Europe and China-Asia freight train services help China's Shandong trade more with countries along the Belt and Road (B&R). The "Qilu" trains send medical supplies to Eurasian countries amid the pandemic. Shandong is running 36 international freight train routes linking its cities with 42 cities of 14 B&R countries. Its foreign trade with B&R countries rose 5.5 percent year on year to 346.34 billion yuan (50.25 billion U.S. dollars) in the first seven months of this year.
