Conde is in the southeastern coastal city Xiamen to attend the Dialogue of Emerging Market and Developing Countries on the sidelines of the ninth BRICS summit.

Xi described Africa as China's "good friend, good partner and good brother," stressing that China is committed to promoting win-win cooperation and joint development with Africa.

He hailed the sound momentum of bilateral ties since the establishment of the China-Guinea Comprehensive Strategic Partnership of Cooperation last year and called for more cooperation in infrastructure building, mining and agriculture as well as people-to-people exchanges.

China supports Guinea's rotating presidency in the African Union, he added.

Conde thanked Xi for inviting him to attend the dialogue and said that African countries appreciate China's support for the continent to solve its own problems.

Xi and Conde witnessed the signing of a number of cooperation agreements in areas such as economic and technological development, climate change and healthcare.
