Jiang Jianguo, deputy head of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and minister of China's State Council Information Office, met with a delegation led by Gerard Baker, editor-in-chief of The Wall Street Journal, in Beijing on May 17.

Jiang and Baker held discussions on strengthening media cooperation between China and the U.S., enhancing understanding between the people of the two countries, presenting China to the world in a comprehensive and objective way, as well as China-U.S. relations.
