Jiang Jianguo meets minister of Myanmar's Information Ministry

Jiang Jianguo, deputy head of the Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and minister of the State Council Information Office, met with a Myanmar delegation headed by Pe Myint, minister of the Information Ministry of Myanmar, in Guangzhou on Dec. 5.

Jiang Jianguo welcomed Pe Myint's presence at the Fortune Global Forum in Guangzhou. The two sides signed a memorandum of understanding in media exchanges and cooperation between China and Myanmar. They held discussions on further strengthening the cooperation in the aspects of humanity and news between China and Myanmar.

Others attending the meeting included Guo Weimin, vice minister of the State Council Information Office of China, Zhang Ye, director general of the International Liaison Bureau under the State Council Information Office, Zheng Yanxiong, first deputy head of the Publicity Department of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the CPC, Zhang Hongbing, deputy director general of the International Liaison Bureau under the State Council Information Office, and Deng Hong, deputy director of the Information Office of the People's Government of Guangdong.
