Liu Qibao calls for promoting 'Saihanba spirit' to advance ecological protection
Liu Qibao, head of the Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, called for ecological protection when visiting Saihanba tree farm in Hebei Province from July 15 to 16.

Liu said that President Xi Jinping has made a series of statements on ecological protection since 2012, which provide fundamental guidance on building a beautiful and sustainable Chinese nation. He called for advancing the protection of environment and the promotion of green and low-carbon lifestyle.
During his visit, Liu learned about the work of tree-planting, wetland protection and forest fire prevention in the former plateau wasteland.

He said that generations of people in Saihanba have worked to turn the former wasteland into a sea of forests, generating the spirit of "loyalty to mission, hard-working, pragmatism and green development." He said the example of Saihanba can be promoted nationwide to encourage more people to build a beautiful country.
