Lhasa-Nyingchi highway in China's Tibet helps improve locals' lives
Around China
The Lhasa-Nyingchi highway has been in operation for two years. The 409.2-kilometer highway links Lhasa, capital of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, and Nyingchi. It slashes travel time between the two cities in Tibet from 8 hours to 4 hours. Over the past two years, it also helps improve local people's lives thanks to the booming tourism industry that has been benefited from the opening of the highway.
