In early 15th century, Zheng He, a famous Chinese navigator, made seven voyages to the Western Seas, reaching Southeast Asia and Africa. Chinese President Xi Jinping commends the epic journey, which has promoted peace and friendly exchanges between China and countries along the ancient Maritime Silk Road.
