I will take this question. Just now I've briefed you on the current work regarding the Patriotic Sanitation Campaign. Now, I'd like to elaborate on the campaign, the pandemic prevention and control efforts in winter, and the joint prevention efforts regarding other epidemics.
In response to COVID-19, General Secretary Xi Jinping has made important instructions on many occasions regarding the Patriotic Sanitation Campaign. Premier Li Keqiang has stressed the combination of the campaign with the pandemic prevention and control efforts in winter, as well as the prevention and treatment of other epidemics such as flu. As I introduced just now, the office of the NPSCC and the National Health Commission have been working on three aspects at governmental level. In close relation with the current epidemic prevention and control efforts, we issued a notice about carrying out the Patriotic Sanitation Campaign in winter as well as spring, contributing to continuation of prevention and control efforts that have become a new norm. The notice requires local governments to improve their environmental hygiene work and build a healthy and safe environment; to carry out publicity work enhancing health-related public knowledge, improve people's ability to prevent epidemics and public self-awareness of related health issues; to implement the prevention and control efforts of disease vectors and reduce the risk of vector-based transmission, so as to accomplish the joint prevention efforts against multiple diseases. These are the key efforts of the work from the government side.
In addition, as you've been informed, the Patriotic Sanitation Campaign is a public-interest disease prevention campaign. Therefore, more efforts should be made to mobilize the general public, and government, society, individuals, as well as the platform of the Patriotic Sanitation Campaign, should play a bigger part in it. Social groups and mass organizations should encourage people of different groups to care about, support, and participate in the Patriotic Sanitation Campaign as well as the prevention and control works of disease.
On an individual level, everyone should be the prime responsible person for health issues. People need to learn health-related knowledge proactively, develop a civil and healthy way of life, and put in place a strong defense line for mass participation in prevention and control efforts. We hereby urge friends from the media present today to work with us and make more efforts to report and promote the Patriotic Sanitation Campaign. Through publicity and other promotional work, we will extensively mobilize the general public, so that they will care, support and participate in the Patriotic Sanitation Campaign. Currently, the campaign needs to be closely combined with the epidemic prevention and control work especially in winter, as well as the joint prevention of multiple diseases, so as to consolidate the continuously improving situation of China's epidemic prevention and control efforts.
