Wang said inclusiveness is the gene of Chinese civilization and China has always upheld the principle of mutual respect, equal treatment, and mutual benefit and win-win results regardless of the system and size of a country, adding that the process of China-Maldives friendly cooperation since they established diplomatic relations 47 years ago is a vivid practice of this principle.

Wang said the Chinese nation has a profound history and culture and after 70 years' hard work, it has stood up, grown rich and is becoming strong.

The vice president said China is ready to work with the Maldives to jointly construct the Belt and Road, promote the healthy development of bilateral relations, and build a community of a shared future for mankind.

Shahid expressed his congratulations for the 70th founding anniversary of the New China and said China is Maldives' great neighbor, generous cooperative partner and trustworthy friend.

He thanked the Chinese government and people for the aid they have provided and said the Maldives is willing to continue to deepen cooperation and build the Belt and Road with China.
