Wang said that the bilateral cooperation between China and Germany has reached an unprecedented level since the establishment of diplomatic ties, and the pragmatic cooperation has yielded fruitful results in areas including politics, economy, trade and humanities.

"Facing the current international situation, we can learn from China's developing experience that only by continuous innovation, accelerated reforms and further opening-up can we promote development and achieve prosperity," Wang said, adding that adhering to peaceful development and building a community with a shared future for humanity is the only right way to go.

He said that China is willing to enhance mutual understanding and trust with the German side based on mutual respect and strengthen the docking of development strategies in order to achieve a higher level of complementary advantages and win-win cooperation.

Maas said that the German side hopes to deepen cooperation with China through this visit, and make joint efforts in addressing current global challenges.
