China’s State Council Information Office (SCIO) launched a program named “Focus on China’s innovation,” inviting a number of Mongolian journalists to visit China.

On May 31, China’s State Council Information Office (SCIO) launched a program named "Focus on China’s innovation," inviting a group of Mongolian journalists to visit China.

During their weeklong stay in China, the 47-person team consisting of Mongolian officials and journalists will visit various places like Beijing, Zhejiang Province and Guangdong Province. They are expected to gain some in-depth knowledge of Chinese technology innovation, cover the achievement in the country’s industrial upgrading from "Made in China" to "Created in China," as well as discuss the cooperation between China and Mongolia under the Belt and Road Initiative.

During their stay in Beijing, the Mongolian delegation will visit the Ministry of Science and Technology and Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission to learn about China’s innovative development. They will also visit Zhongguancun industrial park to see the actual achievement in innovation.

The team will then visit Guangdong Province and Zhejiang Province separately. The Guangdong team will head for Guangzhou and Shenzhen, where they will visit a series of enterprises including Tencent’s WeChat headquarter, GRG Banking and Huawei Technologies. The Zhejiang team will go to Hangzhou and Ningbo to visit Zhijiang Cultural Creative Park, Alibaba Group, ports in Zhoushan and Ningbo as well as Yunqi Town -- a town based on cloud ecosystem.

The visiting program was previously held in 2015 and 2016.
