Chinese Premier Li Keqiang left Beijing for Berlin on May 31 to start an official visit to Germany, at the invitation of German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

During Li's visit, he is scheduled to meet with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and attend the annual China-Germany prime ministers' meeting.

Li and Merkel will also be present at a China-Germany innovation forum.

The premier will then pay a visit to Belgium.

Li is scheduled to attend the 19th China-EU leaders' meeting in Brussels, and to take part in a China-EU business summit and a dialogue on innovation cooperation. Li is also set to meet King Philippe of Belgium and hold talks with Prime Minister Charles Michel.
