SCIO invites foreign diplomats to visit Palace Museum

The State Council Information Office (SCIO) invited foreign diplomats in China to visit the Palace Museum on Monday and learn about the conservation of historical architecture and relics as well as traditional Chinese culture.

The State Council Information Office (SCIO) invited 25 foreign diplomats in China from 13 countries to visit the Palace Museum on Monday and learn about the conservation of historical architecture and relics as well as traditional Chinese culture.

Wang Xudong, curator of the Palace Museum, introduced to the visitors the Chinese government's efforts in protecting the traditional architecture and relics.

In addition, museum staff showed the visitors how cultural relics are maintained and restored with traditional techniques and modern technologies, such as X-ray and light transmission photography.
