SCIO organizes media trip to Lhasa, Tibet

The State Council Information Office (SCIO) invited journalists from domestic and foreign media outlets to visit Lhasa, capital of southwestern China's Tibet autonomous region, from May 31 to June 3.

The State Council Information Office (SCIO) invited journalists from domestic and foreign media outlets to visit Lhasa, capital of southwestern China's Tibet autonomous region, from May 31 to June 3.

The journalists visited Ganlu Tibetan Medicine Co., Ltd., the Tibet Buddhism University, the Potala Palace, the Jokhang Temple, and several other venues, to learn about the local economy, education, tourism, religion, and ecology.

The media trip is part of the events organized by the SCIO to mark the 70th anniversary of the peaceful liberation of Tibet this year.
