A ceremony organized by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) was held Tuesday in Beijing for the book launch of "Stories of China and the Czech Republic."
Jiang Jiang, vice president of the CPAFFC, Ma Keqing, chief editor of the book, and Czech Ambassador to China Vladimir Tomsik attended the ceremony.
At the event, participants extended congratulations on the publishing of the book and praised the book for its depiction of Sino-Czech friendship and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries. The ceremony participants said the tide of Sino-Czech cooperation will surge forward, as long as the people of the two countries are working together in the same direction and demonstrating goodwill toward one another. They said the two sides will keep the good development momentum of their ties on the basis of greater mutually-beneficial cooperation.
The book was compiled in 2019 by Ma Keqing, former Chinese ambassador to the Czech Republic, to mark the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the Czech Republic. The first edition of the book was published in January 2020. The book contains 27 articles written by diplomats, entrepreneurs, scholars, and reporters from China and the Czech Republic. It aims to demonstrate the friendly exchanges between both sides and the achievements made in various fields, and promote the development of Sino-Czech ties in the new era.
