China beefs up R&D spending in past decade
China's R&D spending grew from 1.03 trillion yuan in 2012 to 2.79 trillion yuan in 2021, according to a press conference on Monday. The ratio of total national R&D expenditures to GDP also saw a significant increase, jumping from 1.91% in 2012 to 2.44% last year.
