Adhering to the dynamic zero-COVID strategy to prevent COVID infections, China's customs authorities will make full efforts to strike a balance between the prevention and control of the epidemic at ports and the promotion of the steady growth of foreign trade, Li Kuiwen, a spokesman of the General Administration of Customs, told a media conference in Beijing on Wednesday.

The customs officers will ensure smooth customs clearance, and unswervingly implement measures to stabilize foreign trade and improve its quality, he said.

The Shanghai customs authorities will coordinate with other ports-related entities to ensure safe and stable operations at Shanghai ports, he added.
