BRI to lift 7.6 million people out of extreme poverty

China released a white paper on poverty alleviation Tuesday. The white paper cited a World Bank study saying that the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) will help lift 7.6 million people out of extreme poverty and 32 million people out of moderate poverty globally.
