China builds over 600,000 5G base stations in 2020

China built over 600,000 5G base stations in 2020, covering all cities at prefecture level and above. It plans to build another 600,000 this year as it aims to expand its 5G network to some counties and townships in the nation, according to a press conference held by the State Council Information Office on Tuesday.
