Spokesperson Wang Wenbin made the remarks at a daily news briefing when asked for China's response to the Australian government's recent announcement that Canberra will ask the World Trade Organization to probe Chinese tariffs on barley imports from Australia.

Wang said that he and his colleagues have stated China's position on individual trade cases many times. He suggested turning to relevant government departments in charge of such affairs for more details.

He stressed that the Australian government should take China's concerns seriously and end its discriminatory practices against Chinese companies.
