China's industrial output expanded 6.1 percent year on year in November, slowing from a 6.2-percent growth in October, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said Thursday.

China's industrial output expanded 6.1 percent year on year in November, slowing from a 6.2-percent growth in October, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said Thursday.

On a month-on-month basis, industrial output edged up 0.48 percent from October, according to the NBS.

In the January-November period, combined industrial output grew 6.6 percent year on year, compared with a 6.7-percent increase for the first 10 months of the year.

Industrial output is used to measure the activity of designated large enterprises with annual turnover of at least 20 million yuan (around 3 million U.S. dollars).
