The annual China International Import Expo (CIIE) offers Kazakh manufacturers an excellent opportunity to display their products and enter the Chinese market, a Kazakh trade leader said.
Kazakh producers have showed great interest and enthusiasm in the expo since the very beginning, said Nuraly Bukeikhanov, deputy director general of the QazTrade trade policy development center.
A total of 27 Kazakh companies will participate in the event this year, which will be held in Shanghai on Nov. 5-10, he said, adding that contracts of more than 150 million U.S. dollars are expected to be inked.
A range of Kazakh products, including meat, flour, bakeries, confectionery, oil, dairy products, wine, vodka and ice cream will be presented, he added.
"China is a country with vast economic opportunities and cultural heritage. Kazakhstan is lucky to be a neighbor of China and benefit from it," he said.
