Arab envoys visit north China for CPC exchange activities

​Diplomatic envoys from 20 Arab countries and representatives of the League of Arab States visited north China's Hebei Province Thursday for activities to learn about the history of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

Diplomatic envoys from 20 Arab countries and representatives of the League of Arab States visited north China's Hebei Province Thursday for activities to learn about the history of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

The event was organized by the International Department of the CPC Central Committee and the CPC's Hebei provincial committee. The diplomats visited Xibaipo, a former revolutionary base of the CPC, and Tayuan Village in Zhengding County.

Xibaipo is a township about 350 km from Beijing, where the CPC leadership stationed from May 1948 to early 1949 before the founding of the People's Republic of China.

Song Tao, head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, said the exchange activities could help the envoys better understand the 100-year history of the CPC and the reasons why the country has made great achievements.

Algerian Ambassador to China Ahcene Boukhelfa said that the event has helped deepen his understanding of the CPC history and he firmly believed that the CPC would lead China to create new glory.
