An international acrobatics festival began in central China's Henan Province Tuesday.
The week-long event, titled 2018 Puyang (China) International Acrobatics Art Festival, has attracted artists from 21 countries and regions to deliver 28 performances.
During Tuesday's opening ceremony in the city of Puyang, artists from China, Germany, France, and the United States did acrobatics and performed magic shows.
According to the organizers, there will be magic shows, circus performances, and giant parade floats during the festival.
Puyang has a long history of acrobatics. The art began there during the Spring and Autumn period (770-476 BC) and thrived during the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties.
