From May 10 to June 30, China cultural centers around the world will host an event to promote Chinese creative cultural products, said the Ministry of Culture and Tourism on Tuesday.

The event, titled "China Week: Inherit and Innovate," aims to promote Chinese creative cultural products, institutions and enterprises through exhibitions, lectures and workshops, according to the ministry.

A total of 86 activities will be held, including events about museums, intangible cultural heritage, design and animation. The products to be showcased were produced by departments directly under the ministry as well as museums and creative cultural enterprises across China.

Two notable exhibitions will show products related to the Palace Museum and Chinese stamps.

Creative industries are flourishing in China. By the end of 2017, the Palace Museum in the Forbidden City had over 9,600 branded souvenirs and sold more than 1 billion yuan worth of them annually.

China has established 35 China cultural centers worldwide. The number is expected to reach 50 by 2020. The centers have hosted many cultural events in a bid to present a true, multi-dimensional and panoramic view of China.
