The 13th cross-Strait film exhibition finished its tour in Taiwan Wednesday with six mainland films, including the 2021 blockbuster "Cliff Walkers" screened in Taipei.
The spy thriller by acclaimed director Zhang Yimou was screened as the opening film of the exhibition in Taipei. Other mainland films brought to the island included the 2019 animated fantasy "White Snake" and "The Old Town Girls."
The Beijing leg of the exhibition will begin in early July, introducing six Taiwan films such as "Increasing Echo." It also restored "The Swordsman of all Swordsmen," which premiered in the 1960s.
Since 2009, the cross-Strait film exhibition, held in Taiwan and the mainland respectively, has put on about 150 films from both sides of the Strait.
