China's express logistics sector registered steady expansion in December 2021 as the growth of the Chinese economy further consolidated, data from the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (CFLP) showed.
The index tracking express logistics stood at 100.9 percent in the period, up 1.1 percentage points from a month earlier, bucking the downward trend in November 2021, according to the CFLP.
It attributed the expansion to the consolidation of the Chinese economy, the stability of market supply and demand, and the rebound of enterprises' expectations on production.
In breakdown, the sub-indices for business and cross-border express logistics both rose 1.3 percentage points from the previous month.
China's manufacturing activities picked up last month, with the sub-index tracking manufacturing business express logistics hitting 102.4 percent, up 2.3 percentage points month on month, CFLP data showed.
Based on statistics of business express services, China's express logistics index reflects the development of the country's industrial activities and express logistics sector.
