Beijing's Yanqing district will build a hydrogen energy industrial park and provide green public transport for the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup 2020 and the Beijing Winter Olympics 2022. Hydrogen-powered vehicles will come into service at that time for these winter events.

During the just concluded International Horticultural Exhibition 2019 Beijing, a total of 30 hydrogen-powered buses had been put into use. And starting from this August, two hydrogen-powered buses provided free shuttle service for tourists in the surrounding areas of the expo. With a daily carrying capacity of around 200 people each, their total mileage covered was 5,500 kilometers.

With a long cruising range, hydrogen fuel cell vehicles have good performance under low temperature circumstances, and produce zero carbon emissions. The application of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles has become an important technological path for energy transformation and curbing global warming.
