The Communist Party of China Luohu Committee held a conference on Aug. 20 to study the CPC Central Committee's recent opinions on supporting Shenzhen to become a pilot demonstration area of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
The CPC Central Committee and the State Council jointly issued the document on Aug.18, which will provide Shenzhen with great development opportunities.
Luo Yude, Party chief of Luohu, presided over the meeting. Senior officials of the district committee and government discussed the document along with their respective work and duties.
All the attendees of the meeting agreed that this is an important strategic decision that demonstrates that the Party attaches great importance to, as well as supports Shenzhen. They felt inspired and motivated, and will try their best to realize the objectives outlined in the document, and contribute to Luohu's rejuvenation.
According to the meeting, all relevant departments of the Luohu committee and government are encouraged to carefully study the document and roll out their action plans. The building of the pilot demonstration area is regarded as one part of Shenzhen's task, along with the building of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
This year, the main projects that Luohu plans to finish include the draft plans for the Shenzhen Railway Station and Luohu Port, the renovation of the Caiwuwei and Hubei zones, the planning of the Shenzhen-Hong Kong port economy belt, and the construction of 5G base stations.
