An Olympic culture theme exhibition will open in Beijing's landmark building, the Bird's Nest, on Aug. 8.

An Olympic culture theme exhibition will open in Beijing's landmark building, the Bird's Nest, on Aug. 8.

The exhibition is themed "From 2008 to 2022, Olympic Spirt in Motion," and it is composed of four parts: "Stadiums, Past and Future" from the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Inheriting the Beijing Olympic Legacy Exhibition, Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games Special Exhibition, and Olympic Culture Exhibition.

According to the organizers, the exhibition aims to promote the work of Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympics, and the role of Olympic Games in accelerating a city's economic and social development. With the 2022 event, Beijing will become a host city of both summer and winter Olympic Games, integrating its development with the Olympic spirit.

"The Olympic venues shows the sustainable development of the city," said Gao Yunchao, vice secretary genera lof the Beijing Olympic City Development Association. "We will endeavor to show the Olympic spirit and culture to the public, especially for the young people."
